A maiden grieves on a dark night
She sinks alone into the midnight curtain
The silver moon nestles close
As sacred night passes quietly

A little something I wanted to do since like forever. This is a small tribute to Yin from Darker than Black, featuring episode 14, the very end of it.

I've been looking for the proper cosplay for ages and likewise was looking for cool "doll" effect, and in the end I had to resort to rendering some things in After Effects.

the original was over 2000px but DA viewer was showing it as blurry :< had to crop :(

Ah ok. I don't mean to be rude, but there are millions of deviations that are pretty huge and they seem to be alright.
I'm just saying, 'cause for an artwork this detailed, it's a shame to have it at a size that we would have only accepted back the mid 90's. :)

I love Yin! Especially Darker Than Black!
The stock choices were amazing, and the colors added a surreal effect.
This is a truly beautiful interpretation and a piece well deserving of a DD.
